The Discipleship Team offers educational opportunities to help you "grow in the knowledge of the truth as revealed through Jesus Christ".
Discipleship Team Purpose:
To teach everyone about God and the fulfillment of promises through our Savior Jesus Christ, we will provide a foundation for faith through Christ-centered and biblically based materials and methods, so that future generations will know and serve Christ. We seek to meet all people wherever they are on their personal faith journey and help them reach a deeper understanding of salvation.
We offer a variety of ways to help you grow in discipleship, no matter where you are on your faith journey:
Sunday School classes (Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45am)
Children's Sunday School. We offer Sunday School for all ages, cribbery through high school, and invite all children to join us.
Adult Sunday School. We offer seven classes on Sunday mornings, often studying seven different topics. We're sure there is one for you!Special Lent Series. During Lent (2009), we will immerse ourselves in a sermon and Christian education series called "Seven Marks of Discipleship".
Other Opportunities.
Beginnings.
(Wednesdays, March 4-May 20, 2009) We welcome you to join us as we explore some of life's deepest questions.
Ever wondered if there is more to life than what you've been experiencing? Ever wondered what will happen to you when
you die? Have you ever thought, "If there is a God, he would never forgive me because I've just
done way too many things wrong?."
If you have ever had any of these thoughts regarding your life, join us as we begin to explore these
topics in a warm and relaxed setting. The material is presented in an easy to understand format
and simply provides you the ability to explore each of these questions (and more) in detail.
Vacation Bible School. During the late summer we offer a week-long Vacation Bible School in the evenings for ages 3 to 6th grade. VBS will be offered July 16-20, 2009 from 6:30 to 8:30PM.
Disciple Bible Study. These are extremely popular long-term Bible studies that promote a deeper understanding of both the Bible and God's claim on our lives. Plans are also underway to offer short-term Disciple Bible studies; watch the Sunday bulletin and Revelations for more information as they become available.
Homebuilders. A class for couples to grow and deepen their relationship.
Other Short-term Studies. We continue to offer a number of short-term studies. Examples of studies offered include:
- Pure Freedom - and The Bride Wore White: Seven Secrets to Purity
- Gifts of the Spirit — a lighthearted way to discover your God-given gifts and talents.
- Good $ense — a financial planning class.
