FUMCL: Ministry

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)

We believe all Christians are called to ministry (although only some are called to be pastors.) There are many opportunities for ministry at First UMC. There are groups for men, women, and youth as well as a children's ministry. A number of church members have participated in Emmaus and meet regularly to continue their walk.

An extremely critical ministry is the Prayer Ministry which includes a prayer chain to pray for those in heighted need, and the prayer team that assists people in need of prayer at Sunday services.
