United Methodist Women
Our Purpose
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know GOD and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church.
-- Article 3 of the Constitution of United Methodist Women
We have many opportunities this year to explore, develop and celebrate this purpose; please join us!
About United Methodist Women and First UMC
All the women of First Church (members and nonmembers) are welcome to be a part of the activities of the United Methodist Women. There are four active Circles and the time and place where they meet are listed on the church calendar. Each Circle conducts a Bible Study and takes part in various ministries and mission work.
In addition there is one General Meeting when all the Circles meet as one unit that is held the fourth Monday of each month, with the exception of July and August, at 7:30 pm at the church. It is a wonderful opportunity to fellowship with Christian women whose purpose is to know God and participate in the global ministries of the Church.
The members of the United Methodist Women extend an invitation to everyone to attend these meetings and bring a friend with you.
