FUMCL: Evangelism: Reaching Out Services

For years, First UMC has conducted nursing home visits to Mariner Nursing Home, across from Laurel Regional Hospital, and Morningside Assisted Living, at 7700 Cherry Lane, both in Laurel. These visits usually last about 45 minutes and consist of hymn singing, some scripture reading, prayer, and a very brief message. Different groups throughout the church take responsibility for each month. Members of the groups listed below lead the services in the months listed. We encourage all of our members and friends to participate either as a member of one or more of the groups or by contacting a group and participating with them.
